Government policies play a crucial role in promoting sustainable development
The project has demonstrated compliance with all the mandatory requirements of ECBC 2007 and the reduction in overall insolation through the fenestration, against the SVAGRIHA benchmarks, is 55.42%. A 30 kWp solar PV plant is installed, which meets 100% indoor lighting requirement, thus reducing the consumption of energy generated from non-renewable sources. The other salient features of the project were 57.95% reduction in building water consumption by installing low flow fixtures, more than 73.24% of total living area is day lit; and 100% furniture, flush doors, door frames and other wooden materials in the project interiors made up of refurbished wood and so on.

Zero Waste Bistro installation provides circular-economy model

A zero-emissions natural gas plant could change the game
Last week, NET Power officially began operations at its 50-megawatt, emissions-free natural gas power plant in La Porte, Texas. If all goes well, the plant’s design could pave the way to a cleaner energy future. Instead of using air to drive a turbine and generate electricity, the plant uses heated carbon dioxide; the pure carbon dioxide emissions are then captured and stored rather than released into the atmosphere. Testing thus far has proven to be positive.
