GRIHA Council organized a one-day training programme on SVAGRIHA (Small Versatile Affordable Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) rating system in association with Goa College of Architecture, at Panjim, Goa on 27th February 2019. The training programme was initiated with a brief introduction of GRIHA Council, followed by a detailed presentation on various aspects of SVAGRIHA rating system. It focused on various aspects like design and architecture, energy and water management, materials selection, waste management and lifestyle to enable participants understand the rating system holistically. Subsequently, the participants were also engaged with hands-on demo of the online SVAGRIHA tool, to reiterate the simplicity of the tool.

The training programme was attended by 14 professionals and students from Goa and nearby states. Participants found the training programme useful and knowledgeable. They expressed interest to participate in upcoming 3-day training programme and showed inclination towards becoming GRIHA Evaluator and Certified Professional (CP).
