Climate Governance in Developing Nations

Climate change governance is crucial for a developing nation like India. Developing nations are in the process of providing basic infrastructure to their citizens whilst coping with the challenges posed by climate-driven disasters that prove to be the most disastrous for the poor people. With this governance revolving around the principles of mitigation, adaptation and implementation the larger goal is to take care of the well-being of the environment and people. This session aims at understanding how climate change is affecting the people of these countries, the policies formed to address the three aforementioned principles, and the climate negotiations and decision-making policies formed to meet the targets of COP 26.
