16th GRIHA Summit 2024
GRIHA Council is delighted to announce the dates for 16th GRIHA Summit. The dates are 4th and 5th December 2024.
Last year, 15th GRIHA Summit was held on 23rd and 24th November 2023 under the theme ‘Empowering Sustainable and Resilient Communities’. Aligned with the theme, the Summit witnessed deliberations on various aspects of sustainable development and role of empowered communities in sustainability. During the Summit, new publications were released which includes- GRIHA for Interior Spaces, 10th Edition of annual Shashwat Magazine, GRIHA for Existing Schools Manual V3 and GRIHA ’50 Stories- Case Studies’.

GRIHA Council at Global Sustainability Summit 2024
Ms Shabnam Bassi, Deputy CEO-cum-Secretary and Treasurer, GRIHA Council and Director, TERI was invited to the Global Sustainability Summit scheduled on 9th February 2024, Friday organized by Delhi Management Association (DMA), ESG Committee. As one of the panelists for the session on ‘Circular Economy and LiFE’, Ms Shabnam Bassi deliberated on sustainable transformation of the construction and building sector based on the circular economy model. Aligning with the Government of India’s Mission LiFE, she highlighted on inculcating behavioral change, investing in R&D for developing sustainable technologies and identifying pragmatic strategies. She emphasized on informed decision making for promoting circularity in the built environment thereby, fostering sustainable development and bolstering economic resilience.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GRIHA Council and BVDU College of Architecture, Pune
GRIHA Council and BVDU College of Architecture, Pune signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly work with a common vision of promoting sustainability in the built environment and disseminating knowledge through awareness & education.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Sanjay Seth, Vice President & Chief Executive Officer of GRIHA Council and Senior Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure Programme, TERI and Prof. Dr. KAVITA MURUGKAR, Principal, BVDU College of Architecture, Pune in the presence of Ms. Shabnam Bassi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer-Cum-Secretary & Treasurer, GRIHA Council and Director, Sustainable Buildings Division, TERI and Dr. Shashank Joshi, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, BVDU Pune.
The MoU intends to share knowledge & networking between the members of the two parties, for outreach and information exchange. It marks a significant milestone for both the organizations for commitment to sustainability and capacity building for the holistic growth of its students.
