Stipulations forcing buildings to become green and Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA)-certified should be integrated into bye-laws, according to Mr K Jairaj, guest faculty at IIM Bangalore. Speaking on Innovations in Sustainable Habitats: The GRIHA Approach at the third regional conference and exhibition, organized by TERI in association with Association for Development and Research of Sustainable Habitats (ADaRSH), Mr Jairaj said the situation in Karnataka seems worrisome in terms of energy as demand is increasing at a galloping rate.
