Renowned technical universities lead the independent juries in five regions of the world. They evaluate projects at an advanced stage of design against the "target issues" for sustainable construction and allocate additional prizes for visionary ideas of young professionals and students.

The Holcim Awards is an initiative of the Swiss based Holcim Foundation for Sustain- able Construction.
