Akshay Urja Bhawan awarded for integration of solar features
"Akshay Urja Bhawan", the office building of the Haryana Department of Renewable Energy and HAREDA has been awarded for "Exemplary Demonstration of Integration of Solar Passive Features" during National Conference on Green Design 2012 held at New Delhi. While stating this, a spokesman of HAREDA said that this award was given away by Dr Arun Maira, Member Planning Commission and Dr R K Pachauri, Director-General, TERI and President, Association for Development and Research on Sustainable Habitats (ADaRSH) during the Conference which was organized by Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, TERI and ADaRSH. Akshay Urja Bhawan has been constructed on an institutional plot measuring one acre in sector 17, Panchkula. The building has a covered area of about 55,000 square feet.
