GRIHA Council was invited to St Thomas Girls Senior Secondary School, New Delhi for awareness on sustainability. A special talk was delivered by Mr Akash Deep, Senior Manager, GRIHA Council on how local culture and heritage played an important role in encompassing sustainability in our daily lives. It was also discussed how schools can integrate sustainability by adopting environmentally conscious practices. GRIHA Council was also informed about the sustainable initiatives taken by the school such as composting pits were installed, art and craft were made out of recycled paper, native tree species were planted. It was enticing to observe the young minds imbibing sustainability as a lifestyle. This school was also the winner of the Nukkad Natak Competition that was conducted last year as a part of the Paryavaran Rakshak Week during 14th -18th November 2022. Playponics setup was awarded and now has been installed in the school and students showcased the working of playponics through a movie.
