The GRIHA Green Building Tour, held on August 31, 2024, at the Civil Aviation Research Organization (CARO) campus in Hyderabad, was a resounding success, offering an insightful exploration into the principles of sustainable building design and operations.

The event began with a comprehensive presentation by GRIHA Council and Ar. Sumere Dar, the esteemed architect behind the CARO campus. Ar. Dar provided an in-depth overview of the project’s green design features and its journey towards achieving sustainability. This was followed by an engaging session with the administrative team, offering valuable insights into the operational challenges and successes of maintaining a green building.

Participants were then guided through the campus, with a detailed walk-through of the building’s innovative design, landscapes, HVAC system etc. The tour allowed attendees to witness first-hand how energy-efficient systems are integrated into a modern, sustainable workplace. The guided exploration fostered rich interactions among various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, students, and builders, offering a unique platform for knowledge exchange.

The event concluded with a wrap-up session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and network with experts in the green building sector.
