Madhya Pradesh Police Housing & Infrastructure Development Corporation (MPPH & IDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GRIHA Council to obtain the GRIHA Rating for all their upcoming large constructions.

The MoU was signed on the side-lines of the 5th All India Conference of Police Housing Corporations held in Bhopal on November 15, 2016, and was organised under the aegis of the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs.

Hon'bl e Minister for Urban Development & Housing, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Smt Maya Singh inaugurated the conference and welcomed this initiative with MPPH & IDC being the first corporation to commit itself toward green buildings. Smt MC Borwankar, DG, BPR&D, in her opening remarks, expressed hope over all other Police Housing Corporations to follow suit.

Under the MoU, GRIHA agreed to provide technical support to the MPPH & IDC for the integration of green design features in their building plans to help the project obtain the GRIHA Rating. Mr Sanjay Seth suggested that all the building plans of the proposed construction by MPPH&IDC would be modified to meet the green building norms so that they could comply with the GRIHA Rating system.

The MoU was signed by Shri Sanjay Rana on behalf of MPPH & IDC and by Shri Sanjay Seth on behalf of the GRIHA Council in the presence of Shri Sarbjeet Singh, Chairman, MPPH & IDC.
