Financial incentive was approved for Devraai Phase-II, a project of Sanjeevani Developers located at Kiwale, Pune, by Hon. Municipal Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Shri. Shravan Hardikar (I.A.S.), which is a GRIHA 3-star rated project. Incentives were approved after completing and showcasing compliance with the national rating system by the project team of Devraai Phase-II. Similarly, occupants shall receive 5% discount in general property tax from PCMC. Respective approval letter was handed over to the project proponent's team of Devraai Phase-II, in presence of Shri. Shirish Poredi, Executive Engineer, PCMC and Shri Anil Shinde, Deputy Engineer, PCMC to support green movement in the city and living up to the commitment made by the Municipal Corporation as part of the "Paryavaran Rakshak" event.

"Paryavaran Rakshak" - a charitable initiative by GRIHA Council, which was aimed at raising awareness regarding conservation and optimal utilisation of natural resources. Knowledge was shared through interactive games that were focused on environment-related topics such as waste segregation, energy conservation, rainwater harvesting and so on. Winners were awarded with eco-friendly innovative gifts and certificate of recognition was handed over to the society to encourage the occupants to continue working towards the betterment of the environment. The programme was successfully concluded with an increased enthusiasm amongst the occupants.

At Devraai Phase-II, occupants were already experiencing savings in operational costs due to implementation of various GRIHA measures such as use of low flow fixtures, energy generation through solar PV panels, use of energy-efficient lighting and equipment, eco-friendly design of building and so on, leading to reduce Energy Performance Index (EPI) by around 80% as compared to the GRIHA's benchmark. Additionally, project team has done plantation of native tree species along with the provision of bird nests to encourage local flora and fauna.
