British High Commissioner inaugurates new British School building
Students of The British School, New Delhi, now have a new, state-of-the-art building with world class facilities. H. E. Sir James David Bevan KCMG, British High Commissioner to India, inaugurated the new building at Chanakyapuri amidst school officials, teachers, students and parents.
The new infrastructure emphasises on making the learning process a motivating and engaging one for students. 'We wish to build on our student-centred approach by offering a stimulating environment in which they can thrive by developing both their intellectual and social skills; the new facilities will help us do just that' said the Director, Dr Nick Argent. The building, designed to be eco-friendly and 'green', has been accredited under the stringent GRIHA rating. It boasts of double walled construction for heat insulation, high efficiency air-conditioning systems, solar energy usage, and waste water recycling and treatment.
