TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) has launched a rating system to assess the green practices of schools across the country. "At TERI, we had already developed the GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) to assess the environmental impact of various kinds of buildings. The new rating system for schools is a tool for assessment and also a way to spread awareness," said Ms Mili Majumdar, Director of the Sustainable Habitat Division, TERI. The new rating system, 'GRIHA-Prakriti Rating for Sustainable Schools', was launched at the fifth edition of the annual conference for GRIHA in Delhi last week.
