The Indira Paryavaran Bhavan, which will house the offices of the Ministry of Environment & Forests and has the highest green ratings -- Griha 5 Star and LEED India Platinum was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh on February 25 2014. Environment & Forests Minister Mr M Veerappa Moily and Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh were amongst those present on the occasion. The centrally air-conditioned office building, which has provision to accommodate about 600 officials of the Ministry, is located on Jorbagh Road in proximity to other Central Government Ministries/Departments.
