The Thai capital of Bangkok has made green building one of the driving concepts behind its new city plan. The new plan, the final draft of which was approved by the Thai cabinet, bears the theme of "Bangkok, the Green City" and promotes sustainability measures in the building industry by granting increased floor-area ratios to developments which satisfy green building criteria. The new city plan will replace the current plan on May 15, following vetting by the Bangkok municipal government.
