GRIHA Evaluators & Trainers Programme at Bengaluru
A three-day evaluators & trainers workshop on GRIHA was conducted at TERI Southern Regional Centre, Bangalore from 25-27 February 2015. Twenty six professionals attended the programme with diverse professional background and experience. The program was hosted by TERI Southern Regional Centre. Ms Minni Sastry, Fellow & Area Convernor, Centre for Research in Sustainable Building Science, TERI made opening remarks at the inaugural session. Intense and interactive presentations were made by the TERI professionals on each session followed by detail exercises and hands on GRIHA compliance calculation exercises. The training was given in 11 different sessions, covering architecture, landscape design, HVAC system, plumbing system, energy systems, public health and safety, water, waste and solid waste management, followed by the hands on group excercises and demonstration of selected software tools for designing green building systems. The on-line tool for GRIHA evaluation and documentation was also demonstrated. Towards the end of the training program, two separate examinations for GRIHA Trainers and GRIHA Evaluators were conducted.
