Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda inaugurated "Akshay Urja Bhawan" constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore in Sector 17, Panchkula. The building demonstrates an energy-efficient building design and green building concepts. This building will house the offices of the Renewable Energy Department and HAREDA (Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency). The building has been constructed in compliance with the ECBC (Energy Conservation Building Code) and with five star rating of GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) rating system for green buildings.
