The CUJ (Central University of Jharkhand) will shift PG (postgraduate) level programmes, tentatively by August 2013, to the new campus which is being built at Cheri Manatu near Ranchi said Vice Chancellor CUJ, Dr Darlando T. Khathing. The campus, architectural masterpiece with unique features such as water ways & cultural centre representing cultures of central India, is expected to complete in seven years. Dr Khathing said, "As envisaged the campus will be accorded five star status under the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment."
