The PCMC (Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation) has become the first municipal corporation in the country to introduce a green building initiative, said Mr Arunkumar Tripathi, director, Union ministry of non-renewable energy (MNRE). Ms Poorva Keskar, evaluator and trainer of the national rating system GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), talked about the process to register with GRIHA to get the green rating and incentives from the civic body under the initiative.
