TiE Delhi-NCR organized, as part of their Infrastructure Knowledge series, an interactive session on Green Homes and SVAGRIHA. The session was held on 19 February 2014, at TERI Office, Defence Colony. The session was started by a brief talk by Mr P K Roy, owner of Green One, first 5-star SVAGRIHA rated residence in India. He focused on challenges faced by him in the construction of a green home and his reasons for going ahead with SVAGRIHA rating. This was followed by a presentation on SVAGRIHA rating system and its parameters by Apoorv Vij, Programme Manager, ADaRSH. The architect of the project, Nilanjan Bhowal elaborated on the strategies adopted in design and during construction to make the residence SVAGRIHA compliant. The talks were followed by interaction with the participants. The session was attended by about 20 TiE members working in the construction sector.
