Training Programme on The DOs and DONTs of GRIHA Version 2015 Documentation
GRIHA Council conducted a 6-Day intensive training programme on the DOs and DON'Ts of GRIHA Version 2015 documentation. The programme was conducted for 6 days, on Thursdays and Fridays for 3 consecutive weeks; staring from 22nd July 2021 and concluding on 6th August 2021. An additional 'Bonus Day' was also conducted to allow the participants to clear any doubts pertaining to documentation.
A GRIHA rated project was handpicked and presented as a case study in the training programme. The programme focused on requisite documentation against each appraisal of each criterion of GRIHA Version 2015 rating variant. The sessions conducted in the programme discussed the basic concepts, requirements and detailed documentation of all sections of the rating variant. Alternate scenarios and the requisite documents to be submitted was elucidated.
The 6-day programme was divided into 9 sessions for each section of the rating and an additional session on the requisites for submission of CAD drawings. Each session was carried out by GRIHA officials with the help of presentations and sample calculation related to the respective criterion, followed by a Q&A session. The teachings were further enhanced by hands on exercises; the participants were handed out sample exercises at the end of each weeks' sessions and the solutions were discussed before the subsequent sessions, the following week.
Reference material and presentations made during the programme were also made available to each participant. The programme was attended by 15 professionals and was very well received by all the participants.
