Two day seminar on 'Green Building Materials and Technologies'
A two day national seminar was organized by Department of Civil Engineering, University Institute of Technology (UIT), RGPV Bhopal in association with GRIHA Council, from 27th July to 28th July 2018 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh to deliberate on 'Green Building Materials and Technologies'.
The intent of this seminar was to provide the opportunity for the students and faculties in engineering and architectural field to upgrade their knowledge on green building materials and technologies. The seminar was designed to address various challenges emerging in the area of green building technologies. Ar. Namrata Kaur Mahal, Manager, Western Regional Centre, GRIHA Council as an associate organiser of this seminar, gave an overview of national green building rating system - GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) to the students and faculty members. The aim of her presentation was to empower participants with various aspects and focus areas of GRIHA rating system and shared her experience of working in the field of green building technologies. 45 faculty members and 65 students attended this training programme. Participants found this seminar beneficial and informative to improve knowledge and gain knowhow of the current development in the field of green building materials and technologies.
