A programme was organised by GRIHA Council for students, from School of Architecture, M.C.E, Chennai & Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering, Vadamavandal undergoing B.Arch. and M.Arch at Meenakshi College of Engineering, Chennai on March 10-11, 2016.

A session on green buildings the GRIHA way was delivered by Mr Akash Deep to spread knowledge on green buildings, rating process, criteria requirements and compliance measures for different variants of rating provided by GRIHA Council to the students.

Post lunch an exercises on Construction Project Management was introduced to the students by Mr Akash Deep and Mr Ankit Bhalla, in which a construction management plan and PERT Chart was to be prepared by the students for a site in Delhi.

On 11th over 45 students and 5 lecturers from School of Architecture, M.C.E, Chennai & Arulmigu Meenakshi Amman College of Engineering, Vadamavandal participated in the Site visit conducted at ITC Grand Chola, GRIHA 5 star (Final rated). The site visit helped the participants to understand practical issues in operation and maintenance requirement of a green building. A certificate of participation and a pen drive was given to students at the end of the day. Overall programme received a prodigious response from the students and faculty members.
