The Maryland Green Building Council is scheduled to receive presentations on Plan Maryland and new green building construction codes enacted by the legislature earlier this year. The new construction codes passed by the General Assembly mirror that of the International Green Construction Code. The council is charged with evaluating high performance building technologies and recommending cost-effective green technologies to be used in constructing state building.
