GRIHA Council in association with Energy Conservation Mission of Telangana and Institute of Engineers (India) Telangana State Centre, Hyderabad organized a webinar “GREEN BUILDING – The GRIHA Way” on 21st May, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The intent of the webinar was to raise awareness amongst members and other stakeholders of ECM Telangana on Green Buildings and GRIHA. The webinar was initiated with Dr. G Rameshwara Rao, Chairman – IIE Telangana State Centre delivering the welcome address. This was followed with introductory remarks by Er. Srinivasa Chary, FIE, Chairman, ECM Telangana.

GRIHA Council then presented on Green Buildings and introduced the attendees to GRIHA Council and its variants. Basic information about each GRIHA variant was presented along with the rating parameters and their weightages. Case studies on a SVAGRIHA and a GRIHA rated project was presented as a part of the webinar. A Q&A session was also conducted after the presentation to clarify queries of the attendees.

Vote of thanks was delivered by Er. T Anjaiah, Hon. Secretary – IIE Telangana State Centre. The webinar concluded with the attendees singing the National Anthem.

The webinar was attended by 128 building professionals like architects, engineers, policy makers and students and was very well received.
